January 28, 2008: Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq., Deputy Chief of Investigations William Schievella, and Town of Dover Chief of Police Harold Valentine announce the investigation into a shooting which occurred in Dover on January 27, 2008.

At approximately 10:28 pm, a 911 call was received by the Dover Police Department reporting a male subject who was laying on the ground in front of 59 East Blackwell Street in Dover. Upon the arrival of the Dover Police Department and Town of Dover Fire Department, they determined that the male subject had been shot and was deceased. The identity of the victim has not been released pending next of kin notification.

Prosecutor Bianchi stated "Currently, authorities are speaking with a person of interest who may have been involved in this incident."

The investigation is ongoing by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit, Town of Dover Police Department and the Morris County Sheriff's Office.
