Dover Resident Charged with Sexual Assault

March 6, 2008: A Morris County Grand Jury returned an eight count indictment charging Ronald Rendon-Dusan, age 20, of Dover with:

Three counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault
Two counts of Third Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child
Three counts of Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact

The charges stem from the defendant, who was more than four years older than the victim, engaging in acts of sexual penetration, sexual contact and sexual conduct with the victim, who was 14 years old at the time, on two occasions in July of 2007.

Rendon-Dusan is currently lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000.00 bail.

If convicted of all charges, Rendon-Dusan faces a maximum potential custodial sentence of approximately 30 years in New Jersey State Prison.

Despite these pending charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt following a jury trial at which the defendant has all of his rights guaranteed by the U.S. and New Jersey Constitutions and relevant state law.
