Arrest in Pequannock Attempted Sexual Assault
September 21, 2007: Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq., Acting Chief of Investigations Joseph A. Cannatella and Chief Brian Spring of the Pequannock Township Police Department announce the arrest of Timothy Iberer, age 43, of Sandra Lane, in Bloomingdale, New Jersey.
Mr. Iberer was arrested at approximately 3:43 a.m. at his Bloomingdale residence without incident. Mr. Iberer is charged with burglary, attempted aggravated sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Despite these pending charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt following a jury trial at which the defendant has all of his rights guaranteed by the U.S. and New Jersey Constitutions and relevant state law.
Pequannock Attempted Sexual Assault Case
September 12, 2007: Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq., and Chief Brian Spring of the Pequannock Township Police Department will be holding a press conference this afternoon at 2 pm in the Freeholder's Main Conference Room on the 5th Floor to address an incident that occurred during the early morning hours at approximately 3:00 am on September 10, 2007 at a home on Kinney Place in Pompton Plains / Pequannock Township, New Jersey. They are seeking the community's assistance in locating the actor who broke into the home and gained entry to the residence through a first floor window.
Specifically, a screen leading to a bedroom had been cut with a sharp instrument at the bottom corners of the screen, allowing the actor to manipulate the spring hinge on the bottom of the screen.
A preliminary investigation shows that an attempted sexual assault of a five year old female occurred during the break in. The victim was not injured, as the actor was interrupted by a family member who entered the room.
The perpetrator is described as a white male who is possibly a smoker. Further details of the actor will be presented at the press conference.
A massive investigation is underway by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and the Pequannock Township Police Department. Forensic evidence has been secured and was submitted to the State Police Lab for testing.

Capture of Escaped KROL Patient William Enman
September 11, 2007: Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq., announces the capture of escaped KROL patient William Enman from Ancora Psychiatric Hospital in Camden County, New Jersey by Human Services Police.
At approximately 3:15 pm, the defendant was captured in the vicinity of the grounds of Ancora Psychiatric hospital. All indications are that he is in good condition. At the time of the capture, Mr. Enman was in possession of a backpack and wearing camouflage gear.
Prosecutor Bianchi stated "I am thankful for the multi agency coordination effort that led to the swift capture of Mr. Enman. I intend to continue to argue on behalf of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office for his continued stay at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital. It is my belief that Mr. Enman has further demonstrated his unworthiness to re-enter society, a position that has always been maintained by this office."

Escape of KROL Patient William Enman

September 10, 2007: This afternoon, Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq., addressed the escape of KROL patient William Enman from Ancora Psychiatric Hospital in Camden County, New Jersey.
On or about Saturday, September 8, 2007, patient William Enman walked away from the grounds of Ancora Psychiatric Hospital. In 1975, he was found not guilty by reason of insanity for a double murder in 1974 of his roommate and the roommate's four year old son in Morris Plains.
He has been housed in a psychiatric hospital during this time and has a history of drug and alcohol abuse. His last KROL hearing was in August of 2006 and his next review hearing was scheduled for this Thursday.
It is believed that he had in his possession a backpack along with camping and survivalist equipment. He was last seen wearing a green shirt, black pants and a tan backpack. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office became aware of this escape this morning and has joined a team of law enforcement agencies to assist in the capture of Mr. Enman. It is believed that Mr. Enman has purchased property in Nova Scotia. Charges of escape have been filed.
Mr. Enman is described as a 64 year old white male, 5'9", 145 pounds, slight to medium build, graying hair, brown eyes, scar on right eyebrow area, scar on chin, scar on left elbow and scar on right thigh. He is considered to be a danger to the community and efforts are underway for his capture.

Investigation of a Break-In in Pequannock Township
September 10, 2007: Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq., is seeking the community's assistance in locating an actor who broke into a home on Kinney Place in Pompton Plains during the early morning hours of September 10, 2007. The actor gained entry to the residence through a first floor window. He is described as a white male with dark and/or salt and pepper colored hair.
The matter is being jointly investigated by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and the Pequannock Township Police Department. Chatham Township Coach Arrested on Sex Charges
September 7, 2007: Chatham Township Police Chief Elizabeth Goeckel, Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq., and Acting Chief of Investigations Joseph A. Cannatella announce the arrest of Chatham Township resident Michael Donofrio, age 47, on charges of second degree Luring, second degree Attempted Sexual Assault, third degree Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and third degree Attempted Promoting Obscene Material.
The charges were initiated by information obtained from the "Perverted Justice" organization and are the result of an extensive collaborative investigation by the Chatham Township Police Department and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes Unit.
On or about July 20, 2007, Detective Daniel Papa was notified that the accused, a coach of the Chatham Little League, had been profiled on a website for "Perverted Justice" as a person who had sexual conversations with a person purporting to be a 13 year old female. The "Perverted Justice" investigation was initiated as part of the NBC show "Dateline: To Catch A Predator." Detective Papa and Detective Thomas Miller of the Chatham Township Police Department viewed the website which showed a transcript of the on-line "chats" that allegedly occurred between the accused and a person representing themselves as a 13 year old female. The chats, which occurred between March and April of 2007, included extensive and graphic sexual conversations and commentary initiated by the accused. The accused made plans to meet with the alleged 13 year old to engage in sex, but ultimately did not show for the meeting.
Extensive investigation continued with the assistance of Detective/Supervisor Matthew Potter and Detective Christopher Vanadia of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
Chatham Township Police Chief Elizabeth Goeckel said of the arrest "This is a good example of how citizen cooperation and intensive investigative work results in the arrest of a potentially dangerous suspect."
Prosecutor Bianchi commented "The professionalism shown by Chatham Township and the detectives from this office is to be complimented and evidences the commitment of our mutual department's mission to ensure the safety and well being of our children."
Judge Salem Vincent Ahto set the defendant’s bail at $50,000.00 no 10% cash/bond/property. The defendant is to have no unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16 excluding his children. The defendant is to have no internet access for any purpose.

Appointment of Assistant Prosecutor Kelly Austin, Esq.
September 5, 2007: Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq. and Acting Chief of Investigations Joseph A. Cannatella proudly announce the appointment of Kelly Austin, Esq. as Assistant Prosecutor.
Austin is a seasoned trial attorney with six years of previous experience at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office. While in Hudson County, Austin tried numerous jury trials where she was able to demonstrate her persuasive arguments to a jury and show off her exemplary communication and writing skills. Her uncompromising work ethic and impressive experience came highly recommended to Prosecutor Bianchi.
Austin graduated from the University of Scranton in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and a Minor in English, and from New York Law School in 2000 with a Juris Doctor degree. Following law school, Austin clerked for the Honorable Carmen Messano and the Honorable Mark Baber. After her clerkship she began in the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutor Bianchi says "Bringing in a legal talent like Kelly will be a great step forward towards the mission of this office, which is to try cases and bring defendants to justice.
