Appointment of Assistant Prosecutor Kelly Austin, Esq.
September 5, 2007: Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq. and Acting Chief of Investigations Joseph A. Cannatella proudly announce the appointment of Kelly Austin, Esq. as Assistant Prosecutor.
Austin is a seasoned trial attorney with six years of previous experience at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office. While in Hudson County, Austin tried numerous jury trials where she was able to demonstrate her persuasive arguments to a jury and show off her exemplary communication and writing skills. Her uncompromising work ethic and impressive experience came highly recommended to Prosecutor Bianchi.
Austin graduated from the University of Scranton in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and a Minor in English, and from New York Law School in 2000 with a Juris Doctor degree. Following law school, Austin clerked for the Honorable Carmen Messano and the Honorable Mark Baber. After her clerkship she began in the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutor Bianchi says "Bringing in a legal talent like Kelly will be a great step forward towards the mission of this office, which is to try cases and bring defendants to justice. Prosecutor Bianchi indicates that Kelly will be working on a trial team.
