Fuel Oil Spill in Netcong
November 26, 2007: Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq., confirms an investigation in Netcong Borough regarding an oil spill in the area of Flanders Road.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that at approximately 10:55 this morning, a passing motorist noticed a red colored liquid running down the roadway and entering a storm drain. The spill involved home heating fuel oil and is estimated to be in excess of 1000 gallons. The storm drain that the home heating fuel oil spilled into leads to a tributary for the Musconetcong River.
